They named me when I was born,
They crowned me, even before I saw my first dawn.
My colour and birth decided which creed I belong,
They tried to define how I thought.
But, “World is a box of sweets” is what I got.
I grew to be of a certain religion, I didn’t know,
Kitchen, the only place’ the better half of the society should go they said.
If you are not of my gender or religion, you are no good.
I grew up confused; why only my people could fight and gloat.
But, “World is a box of sweets” is what I felt a lot
Allah. Krishna and Jesus are different; they said
But I couldn’t see any. Hence, he or she is in me and others, I felt.
If God has created one and all, how can I or anyone differentiate hisfeathers?
Earth, water and air strive in harmony, so should we
Celebrate every living soul; like gems, we should blend in nature’ssymphony.
“World is a box of sweets”, taste it before its lost.
