Tragedy strikes and we mourn
Destruction is reaped and we despair
Ere’ lies what man has come to dread
But must we weep over every chink,
Every chink in the life-sustaining armour of blue hue,
The celebration of the joy it beholds is long overdue.
How may we relish in prosperity,
While we mourn those who cannot survive.
For how can we thrive,
While we question Happiness’s verity,
Sorrow enables us to appreciate Pleasure,
For entropic joy is no joy we could measure.
Be wary, for it may overwhelm instead.
Be wary, else the conflicts of the many…upon you they tread.
At the cost of further smiles we must refrain.
If all cast aside pain in their immediate surrounding,
Those who fall shall always see the light of day.
Mushroom clouds need not be present,
Fire need not rage and consume,
As we come to realise,
Life has more meaning than we first presume.
Let us rejoice as one,
Let us rejoice as humanity,
Eradicate the borders and monetary divides,
To the cosmos we travel, with no disparity
The wrath of the universe is a mild hindrance, when we take no sides
Within the writhing mass of quantum superposition,
The particle, observation shall unveil
Within the perpetual chaos we face,
When we choose to gaze upon it, as a race
Will not Harmony blow the wind to its sail?!
